A busy place to sit and sketch with canons going off every few minutes but I think I have captured some of the atmosphere of the event

It is south facing so lovely and relaxing to sit on the warm sand and have a picnic or frequent one of the plentiful cafes and bistros. Chairs, loungers, windbreaks , brollies, water sports equipment and even beach huts can be hired. The red squirrel bike trail (a mix of off road, track and roads) goes along this stretch too.
